Rim Retaliates to countries putting a Ban on BLACKBERRY

“If they can’t deal with the Internet, they should shut if off”
BlackBerry’s CEO gave away this comment talking to The Wall Street Journal about the countries that have banned BlackBerry on the grounds of security and integrity at the national level. The governments wish to gain access of the communication that occurs through BlackBerry.

The CEO further stated that the main issue persists in the Internet as information is encrypted there. Blackberry has nothing to do with the internet, and the countries should rather block the internet access. There has been a recent confrontation from many countries around the world on grounds of the security BlackBerry provides to its customers that does not enable the government officials to sneak in through the communication on grounds of national integrity.
RIM responded to the request wisely stating that all information on BlackBerry network is in the encrypted form and there is no way anyone, not even BlackBerry accesses or discloses the encryption key.

UAE accuses BlackBerry to violate regulations the country has for its telecommunication sector and has plans to terminate all services of BlackBerry from October 11. Saudi Arabia as well as Lebanon also announced the same news recently. RIM is amidst the situation where it has an immense customer following on one side and the mission of providing the most secure communications on the other.

The CEO has further stated that they are targeting international markets just to explain them the cores of the Internet and BlackBerry so that the officials allow the company to move forward with the business. The aim of RIM now is to move ahead and explain all the process to these countries.

India is another of the regions where BlackBerry services are threatened as Indian officials have expressed the concern they have with BlackBerry assuming that militants can use the BlackBerry network as their mode of communication where the government cannot trace their messages at any cost.
